Getting There

To get to the IWCC, take a turn toward the mountainside when you see the “Wildlife Center” sign on the prefectural road (Shirahama Haemi Line) and proceed for 700m.

From Uehara	By car Take the prefectural road towards Ohara, drive past Yubujima, keep on going for a further five minutes and then turn right at the “Wildlife Center” sign. Estimated travel time: one hour and ten minutes from Shirahama; 45 minutes from Uehara Port. By bus Take any bus going to the Ohara area and get off at the “Wildlife Center” bus stop. It is about 700m from the prefectural road, about ten minutes on foot.
From Ohara	By car Take the prefectural road towards Shirahama, drive past Komi village, keep on going for a further five minutes and turn left at the “Wildlife Center” sign. Estimated travel time: 20 minutes from Toyohara; 15 minutes from Ohara Port. By bus Take any bus going to the Shirahama area and get off at the “Wildlife Center” bus stop. It is about 700m from the prefectural road, about ten minutes on foot.
